Throughout our global suppy chain, we're advocating for bettter practices, greater transparency, and empowering systems that help everyone excel. We are guided by Nike's Code of Conduct and Cleaner Chemistry Practices which inspires our Sustainable Product Innovation.

NIKE CODE OF CONDUCT

At Nike Strength, we believe that, although there is no finish line, there is a clear starting line. We believe and follow Nike’s longstanding commitment to working with suppliers on improving manufacturing conditions and minimizing negative impacts to workers, local communities and the environment. Every supplier must comply with Nike’s Code of Conduct and Code Leadership Standards. These minimum standards are integral to our sourcing strategies and to how we evaluate baseline factory performance.

CLEANER CHEMISTRY

Chemistry is the foundation of our materials. Through the adoption of cleaner chemistries, we aim to reduce the overall environmental impact of our products by carefully selecting chemicals that align to Nike’s internal standards and industry aligned commitments.
For Nike Strength, chemical transparency is nonnegotiable. We follow Nike’s Chemistry Playbook and require all suppliers to properly manage chemicals and meet Nike Restricted Substances List (RSL) and industrywide Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) requirements. The Nike Restricted Substances List (RSL) restricts hundreds of chemicals that have been regulated or voluntarily phased out of our manufacturing processes.

These chemistries are tightly controlled to minimize their use in the supply chain. We expect all Nike Strength products to pass RSL testing. To support our suppliers, Nike has built simpler and more transparent guidelines to realize the vision of zero discharge of hazardous chemicals.

SUSTAINABLE PRODUCT INNOVATION

At Nike Strength, we weigh multiple variables to best protect people and planet. We prioritize on integrating sustainable materials and manufacturing processes into our product creation.

Rubber Bumper Plates made with Nike Grind

We are excited to introduce the Nike Rubber Bumper Plates (Grind) as one of the newest Nike Grind product innovations. Instead of using traditional crumb rubber sourced from recycled tires, these bumper plates are made with a 99%+ Nike Grind rubber exterior layer. As seasonal colorways change, the Nike Grind manufacturing scrap colors will evolve, and the bumper plate will reflect this change seasonally.

Nike Grind, which began as a grassroots initiative in 1992 to repurpose shoes headed for landfills, is now a global sustainability program that helps transform manufacturing scrap, unused manufacturing materials and end-of-life shoes into recycled Nike Grind materials. Rubber, foam, fiber, leather and textiles are collected, separated, and reused or processed into new Nike Grind materials.

PVC-Free Benches, Racks, & Accessories

We have eliminated PVC from our product line according to Nike’s RSL testing due to the toxic additives it contains that can leach on to skin or evaporate into the air over time.
PVC-free alternative material examples include our Bench PU Synthethic Leather and rubber feet, as well as our Rack rubber feet and TPU caps.

Kettlebells made with Recycled Materials

Our kettlebells are made with at 99% recycled scrap iron.
